Dillon Danis reportedly has no biological brother in real life. Dani, a professional mixed martial art and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu black belt is the only child of his parents. Even though the fighter referred to Leandro Lo as his brother in a condolence post, on Twitter they were just friends.

Dillon Danis, a black belt in Brazilian jiu-jitsu under Marcelo Garcia, was born in New Jersey on August 22, 1993. He is a member of the Alliance New York academy's productive grapplers-producing generation.

After earning his brown belt in 2014, Danis became well-known among BJJ fans thanks to his impressive showings in some of the toughest tournaments in the sport, where he displayed a forward-moving style that earned him respect. In 2016, Conor McGregor, an Irish mixed martial artist (MMA) competitor and star of the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC), hired Danis as a grappling coach in advance of the UFC 202 Diaz vs. McGregor 2 event.

Although Danis had no amateur MMA experience, once he decided to make the switch to cage fighting, his name recognition immediately drew the attention of a few major promotions, with Bellator accepting the contract. Dillon made his debut on April 28, 2018. Kyle Walker was defeated by submission.

Recently, Brazilian jiu-jitsu star Leandro Lo was reportedly murdered in Brazil. His lawyer confirmed to a Brazilian news outlet that G1 Lo was killed at a concert in Sao Paulo on Aug 7. As the news spread, Dillion Danis posted a condolence message on his Twitter referring to the dead one as his brother. As a result, many people wonder if Leandro was Dillion's biological brother.

Dillon Danis (@dillondanis), an American professional MMA fighter reportedly has no biological brother. As per the sources, he is the only child of his parents. And the player is very close to his mother, Nikki Danis (@danisnikki), and frequently posts pictures of them together on Instagram. But we don't have any information about his father.

Recently, a BJJ legend Leandro Lo was killed during a concert in Sao Paulo, Brazil. According to MMA Junkie, police officer Henrique Otavio Oliveira Velozo is a suspect. A physical altercation between Lo and Velozo is also detailed in the report. After Velozo allegedly grabbed a bottle from Lo's table, the BJJ star tackled and restrained the man. When they were separated, Velozo allegedly pulled out a gun and shot Lo in the head.

The MMA community has come together to mourn the tragedy, sharing messages on social media in unison. Dillon Danis, Conor McGregor's training partner, also paid tribute on Twitter to Lo, sharing a photo with the BJJ legend. He tweeted,

RIP my brother Leandro Lo❤️l.

As the tweet expanded, many fans and followers wondered if Leandro was Dani's biological brother in real life. However, he is not related biologically to Leandro Lo. They both met each other for the first time at Copa Podio - Middleweight Grand Prix in Buenos Aires on 09/07/2016 and they started having a very close relationship, just like biological brothers, more than friends.

Meanwhile, Dillon Danis is a professional mixed martial art and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu black belt under Marcelo Garcia who was born on August 22, 1993, in New Jersey, United States. He gave it all he had in the toughest jiu-jitsu competitions, proving himself and earning respect in the MMA community.

Dillon has competed in Bellator in the Welterweight Division, the IBJJF New York Spring Open Championship, and the IBJJF Pan American No-Gi Championship. He's also well-known for his friendship with UFC Champion Conor McGregor.

Dillon Danis began Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu as a form of self-defense at the age of 15. Soon after, Danis got into a street fight in which he choked his opponent, and he immediately joined a jiu-jitsu gym to improve his instincts. As Dillon joined the Renzo Gracie Black Belt and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu instructor Jamie Cruz's jiu-jitsu academy and started training more frequently.

Danis was a frail young man at the time, incapable of performing even a single push-up, according to his admission. The fact that he was training with adults added to the complication of the situation.

Dillon enrolled in wrestling classes at Parsippany Hills High School and trained under Jason Lodato to improve his personal grappling development. Later, he had two successful wrestling seasons, finishing with a 296 (W/L) record. He began training with BJJ idol Marcelo Garcia at his famous Marcelo Garcia Academy in New York City in his late teens.

Dillon was promoted to brown belt in 2013 and fought again in the Absolute and Openweight divisions. He won gold medals in his weight class at both the IBJJF American No-Gi and IBJJF Pan American Championships at the IBJJF New York Summer Open. Dillon won four Pan American gold medals in 2014 and was crowned Abu Dhabi World Pro Champion (UAEJJF).
