Tim Pool's career took off in 2011. He purchased a one-way bus ticket to New York in response to a well-known Occupy Wall Street movie. He joined the Occupy Wall Street protesters on September 20, 2011. He soon met Henry Ferry, a former sales manager and real estate salesman. Moreover, Pool began live-streaming the demonstrations on his phone and quickly moved into an on-camera position. In addition, while covering Occupy Wall Street, he responded to queries from viewers in a live chat stream. In addition, he requested venue suggestions from his viewers.
Midway through November 2011, Pool broadcast nonstop for 21 straight hours while Occupy Wall Street was evicted from Zuccotti Park.
